How to play

Pick your music.
Build your fight.

Two ways to play your playlist.
Here's how they work, from picking a track to the results screen.

Freeplay

Want to try a build with your favourite song? Pick a track, take cards from your collection and arrange your deck. Then jump into the fight and chase a higher score.

  1. Pick a track and your cards.
  2. Arrange your deck and wire up the connectors.
  3. Survive the fight and beat your high score.

A WHOLE PLAYLIST

Run

Build a playlist, pick your starting cards and choose a route through the map. Fight, collect your rewards and move on. Your deck changes as the run unfolds.

  1. Build a playlist and pick your starting cards.
  2. Choose your next node on the map.
  3. Finish the fight, collect rewards and keep going.

Previews play and loop automatically without sound. You can pause, seek or go full screen.

YOUR BUILD

What's in your deck

Weapons handle your attacks. Connectors change how they work. Use cables to choose which cards they affect.

Each card has its own musical trigger. A card's position on the tape can determine when it joins the fight. Your super attack has a separate slot.

In combat, you move, dodge enemies and choose when to fire your manual super attack. The music triggers your weapons.

The deck screen: weapons, connections and when cards enter the fight.

IN-GAME / 03

Build 03 · Runes and beams

Runic effects, a laser, lightning and a ring wave share this build. Watch how the attacks play out together.

Cards

6 of 87 cards
in the current build.

A few examples of the cards you can put in your deck.
Guitar swings, lightning, explosions and more.

WEAPON

Rock guitar

A musical event triggers a swing into a cluster of enemies. It pushes the crowd back, with a chance to stun a target or deflect a bullet.

WEAPON · VISUAL VARIANT

Glitch lightning

Jagged bolts, colour shifts and brief flashes. A lightning visual variant shown on its own so you can follow the effect.

IN-GAME

Atomic blast

First the countdown, then the blast wave. Watch the whole sequence, including the field left behind after impact.

IN-GAME

Beat artillery

Shells arrive with the beat, one after another. Between volleys, you can follow the next shell and see where it explodes.

IN-GAME

Broken heart

Bass events piece the heart together from shards. Once complete, it releases a crimson wave.

IN-GAME

Solo

Eight beams rotate around the hero. Drums speed up the rotation, while discharges hit nearby targets.
